Virtual Farming and plants to bed for winter

Well, I have to admit to getting "sucked into" FarmVille, one of Facebook's apps. My hubby was home sick with the flu last week, so got him playing too! We have both had a lot of fun and it's just a fun game to play!
Basically it's a virtual farm where you earn coin and FV cash to buy seeds, decorations, buildings, and equipment without having to get your hands dirty! It's a free game but you have the option of  buying stuff with "real" dollars and move up the levels faster. The purist will plod along and play for free, but I went ahead and spent a little money to give my game a boost. One of my purchases was for the Seeds of Change, Haiti($5) which I mentioned in my previous post. Half of the payment ($2.50) went towards feeding folks in Haiti and that's cool. So, for a week, I am planting the special corn seeds and gaining a ton of coin and XP (experience points) which also keeps me moving up in levels and being able to access more types of seeds and goodies.
In the real world I actually did go outside and pulled my blue tropical lily out of my pond for winter storage and also been trimming back my geranium plants and hanging them in the greenhouse for the winter. It's time to pull the tomato plants from my greenhouse growing beds that have been growing and producing for the past six months. Actually those plants are a year old as I started them hydroponically last winter, then transferred them to the earth beds for the summer growing season. They are dying back and turning all moldy so they got to go.
I do have a one plot winter garden going and checked it out yesterday. Nice lettuces, bok choy, and the broccoli plants are starting to show tiny broccoli heads! We are still having mild winter storm weather so they should be fine for now.
Hope everyone have an awesome Thanksgiving! I was so glad that I cooked a turkey this year (cooking for two). Nothing like the smell of roasting turkey! Just cause it's only hubby and I now, no excuse not to have a real holiday meal! So now the bird has been processed into freezer bags for future meals.
