Almost spring.....

I know, you've seen a hundred pictures of pussy willows, but I don't care! For me seeing these flowers are truly the first signs of spring approaching and I am always happy to see them! Matter of fact, that's the only reason I have this plant in my yard, it is my constant reminder that winter is coming to a rapid close and spring is just around the corner! Not bad for January 31st!
I also am noticing our earliest plum tree's buds are starting to swell too. Should start seeing crocus leaves popping up soon too.

Playing around with my camera today and starting snapping some pics of this red maple branch with a row of rain drops on it. Funny how taking pics from different distances and angles can offer so many interpetations. Four drops close-up shows more distinction but what are we looking at?

 
Flip the close-up unside down and now can distinctly see my neighbors house and trees! Cool!

If you can, get outside and look around, you never know what you will see!

    Those shots were great! You have a good eye! And a good camera! I feel the same way about pussy willows. I love seeing them. Here at 5,000 ft. elev. ours are still over a month away, but I have noticed the bare branches starting to flush brighter red and brighter green.
