The girls are laying!

Finally, the girls are starting to lay eggs! We bought five bantum partridge cochin hens and one rooster of the same vintage as 3 day old chicks this spring. Mr "attitude" I call him is starting to challenge me when I reach in the coop but I persevere! One of the girls is finally starting to produce these dainty little eggs weighing in at 0.8 ounces where a store bought large egg weighs in at 1.8 oz. It may take a few eggs for an omelet but they are the freshest eggs around! LOL

I am typing on my shiny new Apple keyboard I got today. It is a different feel and will take some getting used to. Probably the main "buying point" was that it has 2 usb ports tucked under the two top corners. Nice! Now I can plug in my iPad and my digital camera easily for picture transfers and updates through iTunes! I could have bought the bluetooth wireless keyboard for also typing on the iPad but I don't use it that much and I wanted the numeric keypad which the wireless model didn't have. Frankly the "soft" keyboard on the iPad is just fine for limited amount of typing I actually do on it.

Looks like the Magic trackpad won't be here until Tuesday even though I ordered on launch day, dang. I didn't realized how much I was starting to hate the standard scroll mouse I use for my desktop. It looks like Apple is looking to make the mouse extinct and I have to agree, the trackpad will be really nice. Make transitions from my iPad to notebook to desktop nearly seamless.
