Using my aerogarden to grow tomatoes and my starter kit saga

Here is my aerogarden with tomato plants in it. I actually have three plants in the unit and brought in four others in pots/soil because we have been hit by sub freezing nights with this lasted blast of Canadian air!. Geez, we woke up to snow on the ground this morning and here it is late April in the Pacific Northwest, elevation: 100 feet, that's right, we are only 20 miles from the Pacific ocean and usually experience a mild maritime climate!
Last weekend, we had temperatures in the seventies!

So below I am showing my garden starter kit with sprouted alyssum flowers, cucumbers, and tomatillo plants. The peppers are just started to break the surface so don't show up in the picture. Not bad for only a week since we started seeds in it!

Check out the root system underneath! They look great!

I have run into one major problem though that is being worked out. My AeroGarden upgrade light hood has a short in it so the lights are flickering and already one has burned out (less than two weeks old). Aerogarden folks are going to send me a replacement hood, but they are on back order so there is a delay. On Monday, I will be chatting with them again about the bulbs burning out. I am certain they will make it right. The customer service folks have been great so sounds like the warehouse is having to play catch-up on orders on this new feature.

  1. It is great to see another Aerogrowing blog. I have containers of other plants sitting next to mine to share the bright lights as well. See you on the AeroGarden Growers Community Forum?

  3. Of course you can, I did! You need to grow varieties that stay short though, mainly "determinate" varieties. These are also referred to as bush tomatoes.

  4. Joyce, so fun to find your blog and meet a fellow Aerogardener....!

I'm in Provo, Utah, and we get a last freeze usually May 11th. So I've got plants clustered by my aerogardens sharing light, too, waiting to go out. Patricia, I just put pea seeds in the "Grow Anything" seed pods and they are taking off--it' so fun. Today I'm starting an indoor kale garden for my smoothies (see the recipe on my blog: aerogrowing.blogspot.com)

Did you know that 4 months ago, AeroGarden stopped shipping out to retail establishments? They will still service existing customers, but what a great opportunity for all of us who already love our Aerogardens!
We can now share our love of indoor gardening and earn part-time or even full time income, the most fun way ever!
I became a distributor on the first day they made the switch, April 23rd,
and I'll tell you--in this economy, I'm finding EVERYONE wants to garden, and most have never even seen an Aerogarden. How many people would like to grow fresh food at their fingertips?
If you'd like information on how easy it is, and how they pay us, shoot me an email.... aerogardenguru@gmail.com.
or jump over to my new website:

I'd love to chat and help you check this out! It's truly a wonderful, fun, way to share our love of growing things, and earn enough that our own gardening costs are paid for. Or, make an extra $200-$500 a month.
If you go to my website, and watch the compensation plan overview, which takes about 7 minutes, you'll see how to earn over $4,000 quickly, by sharing Aerogardens with six people.

Woot Woot to all our fellow Aergarden lovers out there! Best news ever!
Joyce, wishing you a happy mother's day!
