Happy birthday to me and update on the winter garden

Well, here it is, another birthday..... oh la la! I love the card my 89 yo mother sent me: "AGE is merely the number of years the world has been enjoying you!" Very nice, Mom, thank you!
 I celebrated by having a champagn mimosa, (yum) and my hubby is taking me to see Avatar. Very cool, can't wait to see it! I love the technology we have in today's world. I remember back in the day, when I got my first transistor radio and could listen to my favorite radio station wirelessly! Course the batteries lasted only a few hours, but it was still magical.

Yesterday was a mild and sunny day so me and the dogs ventured outside for a while. I actually did some weeding and picked some fresh broccoli from my winter garden bed. Now bad for January, especially since most of the nation is being bombarded with the famous Artic Blast!

 I wondered how many people read this blog, I know I have one dedicated reader who comments, anyone else out there? Ah well, will continue on anyway. Everyone have a great week!
