I hope you enjoy it and maybe pick up a hint or two.

December is just around the corner and already the seed catalogs are coming in the mail. I look out at my pathetic looking strawberry beds and fondly think back to picking juicy ripe strawberries just a few months ago. Luckily, Matt has built one new raised strawberry bed for me and another one is planned shortly. Soon I will be happily transplanting "daughter" plants into their new home!
Recently I decided to look into hydroponic gardening again. A real "natural" this time of year! I want fresh greens!!! So since my NGW supplier carries AeroGarden, I decided to order one and "grow for my self". I frankly feel better about recommending a product when I used it myself and decide for myself what it's pros and cons are. So I set it up in my north facing office and anxiously waited for sprouts to appear! Three days and yes, there they are! Very cool.
You've seen it on TV infomercial and probably wondered if it was just another cheap product designed to entice you to buy, then deliver an inferior product. I can emphatically say that is not the case! I am now into my second crop. The free herb kit that came with it was a great choice. The herbs were delicious and the aroma was fantastic just by just running your hand through them . The only negative was that the cilantro didn't germinate. I could have gotten a new seed plug but instead drop in some lettuce seeds I have from my own garden plants. Worked great!
Now I have a mix of salad greens growing and am constantly nibbling a leaf here and there to keep it "thinned out". Just a few leaves makes a nice fresh salad @ any time.

Visit my webstore to see all the AeroGarden products I have available for you. Coming in 08 is the Aerogarden Deluxe, a larger unit that can handle growing full size garden plants such as tomatoes, cucumbers, etc. Also new will be a "starter" tray for your AeroGarden. Start up to 70 seedlings in your AeroGarden for transplanting to your outdoor garden! How great is that!
PS: Did I mention that the standard AeroGarden such as the one shown above are on sale right now? A complete hydroponic system for under $150.
Happy Holidays
